Alvington House has a range of care facilities and qualified, professional staff who are dedicated to looking after you. They will support and encourage you to remain active and mobile for as long as possible, yet treat you as an individual, with respect and dignity.
Our services and facilities are best suited to those who:
- are over 65 and whilst in reasonable health, too frail or no longer willing to continue to live in their own home
- are recovering from an operation or illness and require a short convalescent stay
Our bedrooms and communal spaces have been adapted to assist those with reduced mobility and include:
- 2 stairlifts
- Grab rails
- Bell call buttons
- Hoist-assisted baths
- Easy use taps
- Twice-weekly keep fit class
We also have access to visiting health practitioners:
- 4 GPs, or you may retain your own GP if practicable
- Occupational therapist
Accreditation and registration
We are registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are fully compliant. Referrals can be made personally or by GPs, consultants or by Health and Social Services.
