GOOD RATING ACHIEVED FOR OUR QUALITY OF CARE

We are delighted to report that Alvington House has received a ‘Good’ overall rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its latest, unannounced, inspection carried out in September 2017.

The CQC, which is responsible for regulating health and social care services in the UK, assesses the standard of social care across five key categories: that the organisation is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led.

Our last inspection, in 2015, soon after we acquired Alvington House, identified a number of areas for improvement and our team has since been working hard to address these. We are. therefore, especially pleased with our ‘Good’ rating across all five areas.

The optimum CQC rating available is ‘Outstanding’ just one category above where we currently stand and we are endeavouring to achieve this standard by the time of next inspection.
